After WWI two AA gun positions were built here, but during World War II they were replaced by four mobile 3-inch AA guns.

No remains are left of the AA gun positions.
Two 1872 magazines are still here. The 1872 mortar battery is located on an overgrown hill directly behind Battery Gibson-Read.
